Not living in the same area as the person you adore is a very hard thing for the heart to handle.
My beloved accountant Peggy died from cancer this morning. Though I’ve known for months that her life expectancy would be a year if she was lucky, I thought she would push through and beat the odds.
She holds a really special place in my heart because she’s been my accountant since I graduated college. Though she was a very modest person, I know she cared about her clients. If it wasn’t for her, I would have unnecessarily paid so much more in taxes!
It was very upsetting when I had to find a new accountant this spring. I was hoping that next year she’d be healthy enough to work again, but that simply didn’t happen.
This was part of a poem that was on her memory card when I went to her viewing. Though it’s very sad, it is something she would say to all of us if she was still alive.
